Sblimp

Designed by Iwan Escher in Zurich, Switzerland, the Sblimp (also named Iwan Blimp) incorporates a great new idea in the envelope. Several long "sausages" bundled together are used instead of the traditional teardrop shape. Several models have been constructed, among them one 1/20th scale model with fully functional propulsion and control system.

Since no sponsor was found, construction never began. No further information is available.

The idea of a pedal powered blimp was inspired by the White Dwarf which was designed by Bill Watson and built by California Airships in 1984.
